If you are a fan of Tejano music then you will know this man’s music. For 60-plus years this icon has not only entertained but changed Tejano music as we know it. He was the first to add strings to musical arrangements that still stand the test of time. He has been an advocate for migrant workers’ rights, as well as civil and Justice rights. He has performed for presidents and other dignitaries as well as icons like Willie Nelson. So many accomplishments. Too numerous to mention. It’s the true King of Tejano, The King of the Brown Sound, José Maria Deleon Hernandez. Little Joe!
